Both worlds still spinning
All my Hannah Montana memorabilia is enshrined, naturally, in my home library—but I keep this standee in the parish house for pranks: to give Linda W. a tiny heart attack now and then when she comes in to clean, and occasionally to keep Helen in the parish office on her toes:
I’m one of the many fans who were disappointed when the 20th anniversary special was aired last week. No Rico, no Jackson, no Roxy, no Amber and Ashley, no Jake Ryan, no Oliver, no Lilly. Imagine that!
The original Hannah Montana soundtracks were, of course, released on CD. In keeping with the times, they eventually had to be forced onto vinyl—except, oddly, for the second-season remix album and the Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert movie soundtrack. However, these releases strike me as a much better way to celebrate the 20th anniversary milestone than whatever that TV special was supposed to be:
